There was something about being in the air that Raven liked. The fresh air in general. The fact the air was clearer compared to down below. Less congestion, aside from birds. They were annoying at times, but less so than crowds of people. The biggest thing however for her, was the freedom. The freedom to go in any direction she pleased. Whether she was pushing her limit to see just how high she could go. Seeing how fast she could push herself. Or like now where she was just casually flying without a care in the world.

She had covered a fair few miles today. Having crossed many states. She hadn't been aiming for anywhere in particular. In fact it was sometimes a game for her to figure out from above just whereabouts she actually was. If she wasn't mistaken this time, then she was somewhere above San Francisco. She didn't mind it there. Then again she had yet to actually come across somewhere she despised yet.

She was dressed in her usual all dark attire. Her reasoning beyond liking black, was that any casual glance above would have her mistaken for a bird of some type. A large bird maybe. A bird minus wings. But a quick glance wouldn't raise too many questions.

She wasn't too far off from choosing to make a landing somewhere. In need of at least a small break of sorts. That thought however was dismissed as she spotted something brightly coloured in the not too far distance. There was no mistaking that it wasn't a bird. No bird was that bright pink. Plus it was much too large.

Curiosity getting the better of her she started to fly towards the direction of the bright pink thing.

Sunny spent an awful lot of her time flying around San Franscisco. When she didn't have a photo-shoot or red carpet gala to be at, or, y'know, actual superhero work, or was shopping, or at the beauty spa, or doing a talk show- Okay, so Sunny didn't actually spend that much time flying around, but she liked to do it when she had a bit of free time, and this was one of those occasions.


Sunny loved the cameras, the buzz, and being the centre of attention, but sometimes even she enjoyed being up in the air, where nobody could bother her. Even the wind was stopped by her gravity field, which was important of course, because while she knew she couldn't be contacted, people did sometimes look up to see her and it wouldn't do for her hair to be out of place.

While Sunny had a well deserved reputation as a ditz, she was an experienced flier by this point, and became aware when something was approaching her out of the ordinary. She turned, surprised to see it was another superhero (Sunny, of course, assumed she was a hero). An initial assessment from Sunny's position suggested that the girl could definitely use a little more make-up and definitely a splash of colour, and, well, obviously a lot more PINK, but not everybody could have Sunny's sense of style.

Speaking of Sunny's 'style', the approaching girl would be hit by the overwhelming scent of Sunny's perfume as she approached. Sunny practically bathed in the stuff, and it was incredibly hard to ignore, even this high up.

Sunny's face lit up with delight. There weren't enough flying heroes to spend her time with, especially not who wanted to hang out with her!
"Ohmigawd!" she shrieked in her typical valley girl accent. "Like, I didn't know there was another flying hero in San Fran! I'm Gravity Girl, uh, like, obviously." She gave a smile that suggested she was definitely incredibly used to being famous. "It's like, so totally awesome to meet you! Are you, like, new?" she asked brightly.

Whatever it was that Raven had been expecting when she approached the pink flying thing, the last thing she expected was to be face to face with a younger female who screamed girlie girl. There was just an overwhelming amount of pink. She dreaded to think just how much perfume the woman had splashed on, in order for her to smell it all the way up there in the sky. Until that moment she didn't even know it was possible.

The greeting she received was not what she expected either. Straight away showing how bubbly the woman was, her going into a peppy ramble. Raven herself blinked a little, while she started to float not far from the woman who introduced herself as Gravity Girl. It was one of those moments that she realised just how out of touch she was with wordly goings on. This type of person would stand out, and here she was, completely clueless as to who she was now dealing with.

"Uh hi." She spoke barely, for the briefest moment she was almost speechless. But it didn't last for long. "You're, uh, very ... well, pink." She remarked rather lamely. She just couldn't help herself. In a way she was actually thrown off her usual line of thought. Any sense virtually disappearing, at least for the time being.

Sunny took the comment that she was 'very pink' the only way Sunny knew how. As a compliment!
"Oh, like, thank you! Yeah, like, my costume is just soooooooooo cute!" she did a little twirl in the air, cape fanning out, although her gravity field extended to make sure her hair stayed in place. She didn't want to look messy for her new friend. And they were friends, Sunny had decided, despite only exchanging a single sentence and Sunny not knowing her name yet.

She'd always wanted a fellow flying friend!

"So, uh, like, what's your name? Are you with the Hero Program? I always asked them to tell me if we got another flier 'cause I've always wanted to, like, y'know, be able to hang out in the air and stuff with a friend! But sometimes they don't tell me stuff. They say I talk too much and like, I'm bad at keeping secrets, plus I got in soooooooo much trouble for like, totally failing my last training session with this total grumpy guts. Her name was-" Fortunately, Sunny caught herself mid-babble. "Oh, uh, like, I'm not REALLY supposed to give out names. If I did that, I'd probably get in MORE trouble. I already gotta have another meeting on Monday with the bosses and like, ugh! It's not faaaair. They want me to work so hard AND they keep telling me off for wearing too much perfume. Like, TOO much perfume!? That's, like, not even a thing!" She went on, babbling excitedly.

A gentle breeze carrying the scent would tell Raven that yes, it definitely was a thing.

"So like, yeah, are you with them? Ohh, who designed your costume?" she asked, still beaming that same ditzy smile.

At this point Raven was wondering who the heck she was dealing with. The super bubbly personality wasn't really one that she tended to deal with. Most were much quieter, and also subtle. Not quite so bursting with energy, with something that she attributed to a child like innocent.

She caught onto the fact that she was being asked for her name once more. Granted it was no wonder she hadn't answered with how thrown off she had been. "Oh, name's Rina." She paused briefly, virtually cursing herself for the real name use. "But I normally go by Raven." She added quickly.

She in comparison was looking rather wind swept. A hint of pink over her face from the wind itself from where she had no protection, while her hair, even while she floated mid air, was blown about a little. Strands of hair going into her face, causing her to move it back every so often. While she was in motion her hair didn't usually bother her.

With the female rambling quickly in excitement she was able to figure out a little about her. At this point wondering if anything she rambled could come in use for her at some stage. There of course was the talk of the hero program, but even with a loose tongue the younger female was able to curb giving out too much.

When the female finally managed to pause for breath, which Raven was actually impressed with the amount of time, it gave her an opportunity to speak. "Oh I'm not with any programme." She stated with a shake of her head.

She then looked down at her own outfit. She didn't normally get asked about her outfit. She didn't wear anything special. Just black jeans, a vest top, a simple basic jacket, and thick heeled boots. Casual enough not to stand out. She didn't like clothing to get in the way whilst flying. "Uh, nobody?"

Sunny beamed a smile as Raven introduced herself, bright glossy pink lips spread wide in a happy expression as she took her new best friend (because of course Sunny assumed she was her new best friend) with sparkling eyes.
"Oh, like, I totally get it. My real name's Sunny, but you probably knew that," Sunny confirmed. She didn't mean to sound boastful, she was just used to being pretty well known. Sunny have been one kind of famous or another for the majority of her life, and sometimes forgot that she could sound conceited when she assumed other people immediately knew who she was.

"You're NOT with the program!?" Sunny exclaimed when Raven confirmed that she wasn't. "But you can fly! That's like, totally one of the A Plus powers! You gotta sign up! I mean, sure, sometimes they yell at you and tell you off and say things like 'those boots are impractical, Sunny'," she waved a finger in a mock impression of authority admonishing her, "but you get to be a hero! It's great!" she finished cheerfully.

When she confirmed her costume hadn't been designed, Sunny shot her a sympathetic look.
"Oh, I could like, tell, but I didn't wanna say. I'm so sorry," she said sympathetically, as if not having a designer costume was the worse thing you could imagine. "But the Program has designers! I mean, like, just between me and you, they aren't the BEST, like, I got mine designed in Paris, but like, they're not bad! Plus I can always help you find somebody else!" she suggested cheerfully.

"Sunny..." Raven blinked once more. Even the name that was spoken to be said that it was the woman's true name seemed too bizarre to her. Bright and pink. With a very sunny disposition. How very appropriate that her name was Sunny. "Uh, no. I didn't know that." She admitted with a shake of her head.

For the briefest of moments her train of thought disappeared completely, along with the natural thought of flying. She dropped down about a foot before she made the mental correction and floated up again. If this woman had the power of distraction then she could almost be forgiven for it, otherwise losing control like that was just plain embarrassing for her. Sunny certainly had the gift to derail someone's thoughts, whether she meant to or not.

She gave a small shrug of her shoulders as the premise of the Program was given. "It's not my kinda thing. Don't like being tied down." She stated. She wasn't about to admit that she had a thing for causing trouble. Any kind of trouble for that matter.

She wasn't really all that offended at what could be considered an insult. She was however almost feeling horrified of the very idea of someone covered head to toe in pink designing a costume for her. She dreaded to think what the outcome of that would be. A brief image of her in a bubblegum pink spandex suit with bows in her hair made her cringe briefly. She ended up giving her head a shake. "Uh, I'm fine for outfits ... really. But thanks." She told her with an almost apologetic smile.

Sunny's smile faltered only for a split second when Raven confirmed that she didn't know Sunny's real name. Well, Sunny thought, she supposed she was known best as Gravity Girl, and maybe not EVERYBODY followed her private life in the gossip magazines and news columns to know her real name, and SOME of the posters on sale didn't feature her real name. Especially the ones based on her animated show. She could let her off that one.

"Oh, that's okay, some people just know me as Gravity Girl, I guess," she replied chirpily, thinking nothing else of it. "Raven's a, like, totally great superhero name though! It's mysterious! I love it!" Sunny said enthusiastically, even if really she thought it was a bit dark. What was wrong with having a nice, cheerful, alliterative name like her?

She blinked a little when she said she didn't want to join the program, but quickly shook it off.
"Oh, like, it's okay. I totally get that. They're always tryin' to boss me around! Did you know they tried telling me a superhero shouldn't wear heels? I mean, like, how lame is that!? I'm not NOT wearing heels!" she insisted. Sunny was, while bubbly, sweet and kind, from that type of family that had spoiled her so much she had no idea what 'no' meant.

She gave Raven a sceptical look when she said she was fine for outfits, because she really wasn't. Where was the colour? Where was the pink?
"Okaaaaaay, if you're sure, but like, if you change your mind, you promise to let me know, right?" she asked excitedly, already thrilled by the concept of getting to dress ANOTHER superhero in a new, iconic costume.

Raven was being observant enough, even if Sunny was able to throw her, to spot the disappointment in her not knowing who she was. "If it helps I'm not exactly from around here." She told the blonde. Having drifted about for so long her cockney accent wasn't as strong as it used to be. Even so some words still were spoken in a way that it could be noticed.

She had never thought of her alias as a superhero name. She had a feeling that she was about to deliver another small blow to the woman. "Well actually I was given it as a nickname by some guy I once knew. It sorta just ... well stuck." It was an alias that she had been happy to take on. For her Rina had always felt like such a babyish name. Just why she was telling Sunny this she had no idea. Again it was something she attributed to Sunny throwing her.

She nodded meekly throughout the mild rant about heels, all the while wondering just how Sunny ended up the way she was. Bubbly, and very hyper for sure. During her time in prison most like that were purely down to whatever drugs they had gotten their hands on. Outside of prison walls however she had no idea whatsoever.

"Uh... sure. I'll beep you or something if I change my mind." She nodded at the secondary offer. She figured it might be one way to stop Sunny from virtually begging. Not that she was sure that would even happen.

Shoving her hair unceremoniously away from her face in a mild battle to keep it out of her eyes, she ended up giving Sunny a curious look. "Why is your hair not moving?" She hadn't seen it move once.

Sunny's smile didn't waiver because, well, it never did, as Raven told her how she wasn't from around there.
"Ohh, where are you from, 'cause, like, I should TOTALLY talk to my Mom about our merchandise distribution there, 'cause like, clearly it's not doin' as well as it should," she said cheerfully, already thinking about what additional ad campaigns they could run for her hero personae, and her various merchandise lines, not to mention her show.

"Well, I think it's a cool name!" Sunny said with equal cheer given raven's name. A bit dark for Sunny's tastes, but it suited the edgy hero, she thought. Because of course she assumed she was a hero, and anybody was edgier than Sunny. She frowned at the word 'beep' though. Sunny didn't really know what beeping was, but she had heard it in old movies. Maybe she just meant text or drop her a message on Instagram or something. She decided not to ask, not wanting to seem too ditzy. It was probably too late for that.

"Oh, that's simple!" she said chirpily in response to the question about her hair. "See, my power is I can, like, alter my own gravitational field, so I can fly, but it also means I can make the field around me like, SUPER dense, so nothing can effect me 'cause the gravity repelling it is too strong. Including the wind! So my hair ALWAYS look great! Neat, huh?" she said proudly.

"Uh, London, England, originally. But I moved around that way a lot. Then again media really isn't my strong point." Raven answered, again going closer to the truth. She really had to try and not do that. She really had no idea just how she could use this 'getting to know you' thing, when it was her giving the information out instead. "You from around here then?" She managed to throw in another question.

"Thanks. Gravity Girl... well that's a pretty unique name." She commented lamely. If it hadn't been clear that she wasn't used to talking to people like Sunny, well that was likely to point towards her more antisocial aspects. If it wasn't for their shared ability of flight then she more than likely would have steered clear of her.

The explanation of the abilities were more useful, and finally there was something that didn't throw her. Perhaps it was down to the fact that Sunny understood her abilities. That she could actually appreciate. "You're lucky. I don't just mean your hair. I mean you know how you do it. I... well, I don't. I think about flying and it just happens. Then when something throws my concentration..." She trailed off and shook her head. She after all had partially demonstrated that just minutes prior after a brief lack of concentration.


"At the moment for me, it's kinda like mentally treading water to avoid sinking." Sometimes she wished she had a better understanding of how she managed it.

Sunny seemed to pout for a moment, looking a little bit put off when the girl confirmed she was from London.
"Aw, I thought I was popular in England. I did this HUGE press signing there once! The newspapers loved me so much they said I was nearly as smart as their prime minister!" she beamed with pride, blissfully unaware of quite what that meant. "Oh, kinda. I grew up in Beverly Hills," Sunny said proudly, "But, like, I get around a lot. Y'know, press tours, photoshoots, parties, that kinda thing." When she said that, she said it as if it was utterly matter-of-fact. Just a standard every day slice of life for your average person.

"You gotta have a good, catchy superhero name! It's gotta be marketable and you gotta be able to make it into a neat logo too!" Sunny explained why she had gone with the name 'Gravity Girl' (or more accurately, why her mother had picked it). She pointed to the golden GG logo on her chest. "See? I'm super marketable!" she beamed.

When she listened to Raven explain how she had to concentrate to fly, Sunny's eyes lit up and she looked even more excited.
"OH EM GEE! No way! Me too! Like, I always gotta be concentrating when I'm flyin', and it's like, doubly hard to fly AND put my gravity field up at the same time, especially if I want it to be a proper forcefield, and sometimes if I get distracted, like, my gravity field can go down. But luckily I'd, like, NEVER forget about my hair and let that get messed up! Nu uh! No way!" Some things, it seemed, for Sunny were just way too important...

Raven raised her eyebrows as she noticed that Sunny actually pouted at not being recognised. Then at a mention of her being compared intellectually with the Prime Minister she tried not to smile. "Sounds like you made one hell of an impression." She commented, though inwardly she actually wanted to laugh.

"Don't feel bad about me not having heard of you. Like I said I'm not big on the media. I've missed out on a lot of important things because of that." She remarked in an attempt to cheer the bubbly blonde up.

Raven kept up the friendly facade as Sunny explained the reasoning for having such an alias. She gave a nod and smiled. "Well, Gravity Girl seems to work like a charm with you."

She half squinted as Sunny explained that it was keeping her hair perfect that had her able to keep her concentration in regards to her own control. It was still surreal for her to meet someone who was that obsessed with their outwards appearance. The more that Sunny went on about her hair, the more that Raven associated her with being some sort of bimbo.

"Well your hair looks... great. It looks great." She tried to keep up the friendly disposition. At the same time she swept her own hair out of her face as a stronger gust of wind had it go into her face more than it had done previously. "Goddammit..." She uttered under her breath. For a fleeting moment she actually envied Sunny.

Sunny giggled when Raven commented that she must have made a huge impression. She did a little twirl in the air, her arms held out, giggling as she did so.
"Like, totally! But, like, I'm SUPER good at press conferences and stuff," she beamed. This wasn't exactly untrue, it was just, well, she wasn't so good at being an actual superhero. Fashion model, icon, and vapid celebrity, yes. Superhero, not so much.

She kept up her ditzy smile when Raven explained she wasn't big on media. That was fine, although Sunny wasn't sure how she hadn't heard of GRAVITY GIRL. Like, her marketing team needed to step up their game. She would DEFINITELY have a word with her Mom about this. She had thought EVERYBODY had heard of her.
"Ohhh, I can lend you some blu rays of my cartoon show! It's for kids really but like, you should totally check it out!" Sunny chirped.

"Thanks!" she beamed when Raven complimented her name. "Like, we didn't even focus test it! I just, like, KNEW it was right," she said proudly. "Well, like, I mean, for a tiny bit I wanted to be PRINCESS Gravity Girl, but my Mom talked me out of it." She paused. She still thought that would have been cute...

She beamed another smile and gave another twirl when Raven complimented her hair.
"Thanks! Like, y'know, my gravity field can't help you, but like, I totally bet the right hairspray would!" she suggested helpfully, because, well, fashion products were Sunny's one area of expertise.
